From the laurel tree in Turkey. Lends a delicious, unique taste to soups, stews, meats, and bouillabaisse. A few pieces of cracked bayleaf in the soup pot is all it takes. Remove bayleaf before eating. Turkish bayleaves are said to be the most flavorful even though their color is not as green as other laurels.
